Meet Sunny the Husky/Aussie Mix
Sunny truly lives up to her name. Her smile is one of those soul-filling sights you don’t forget, and her joy is contagious. She is incredibly gentle with people and absolutely adores children—I have never met a dog so naturally drawn to kids. She thrives on attention and is a total social butterfly, always ready for the next adventure.
While she looks like a Husky mix, her genetics are a mystery. She’s unusually quiet for a Husky and shows no herding drive despite her dappled coat and striking icy blue eyes.
Sunshine at a glance:
Loves adventures of all kinds but is equally happy with cozy snuggle days
Medium energy level
Exceptional with children
No aggression toward people
Grooming is easy—she enjoys the attention
Off-leash, e-collar trained for adventures
Has shown same-sex aggression with pushy or dominant female dogs
Loves male dogs and enjoys play and wrestling
Quiet demeanor
Crate trained with solid basic training
Fully vetted
Approximately 5 years old
Experienced around chickens, cats, dogs, horses, and cattle
High prey drive toward small mammals and will consume whole prey
Excellent digestion and diet flexibility
Ideal Home
Sunshine would thrive with an active family looking for a true adventure companion or on a busy farm where she can greet visitors and be part of daily life. A medium-to-large male dog playmate would be a huge bonus—she loves to wrestle (almost as much as she loves belly rubs).
She will still need to be crated when unsupervised. Her one true “Husky” trait? She will absolutely explore your counters and refrigerator without hesitation. Sunny just wants to be included in everything—whether that’s joining you outdoors or standing in the kitchen sink watching birds out the window.
She’s not wild or chaotic—more of a “girl next door” who just wants to belong.
If you’re looking for a happy, spotted yellow dog to accompany you through everything in life, please reach out and schedule a meeting with Sunshine.
